Paulo Jorge Ferreira, qualified by public examination with the title of specialist in Accordion/Performance, has given solo recitals and chamber music concerts both nationally and internationally, namely in France, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Macau, Spain, Hungary, Holland, Germany, Poland and China, playing with Portuguese and foreign musicians of enormous prestige. During his career he has performed in some of the most important concert halls in Europe, such as Musik Werein, Muziekgebouw, De Single, Odéon Theatre de L'Europe, Teátrum House of Future, Berliner Philarmoniker, among others. He has participated as an instrumentalist in several premieres of works for solo accordion, chamber music, ensemble and orchestra. He works assiduously with Portuguese composers, encouraging the creation of new Portuguese repertoire for accordion.

He has performed as a guest musician with symphony and chamber orchestras such as the Beijing Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, Porto Casa da Música Symphony Orchestra, Utópica Orchestra, Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, Remix Ensemble, Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, Darcos Ensemble and solo with Esart Ensemble, Remix Ensemble, Folefest Ensemble, Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras, Orquestra de Câmara de Cologne, Orquestra Sinfónica do Conservatório Nacional, Sinfonietta de Ponta Delgada, Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa and Sinfonietta de Braga, working with conductors of recognised international quality, such as Stefan Asbury, Jürjen Hempel, Lawrence Foster, Peter Rundel, Martin André, Emílio Pomàrico, Carl St. Clair, Peter Eötvic and others. Clair, Peter Eötvös. He regularly collaborates with Remix Ensemble, Ensemble Darcos, Orquestra Gulbenkian and Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música.

In the field of chamber music, he has formed an accordion duo with Pedro Santos (Duo Damian), an accordion and clarinet duo with Carlos Alves (Artclac), an accordion and cello duo with Catherine Strynckx (Stretto Duo), an accordion and singing duo with Ana Ester Neves (soprano) and a string quartet quintet.

Throughout his musical career he has participated in numerous recordings, radio and television programmes. He has recorded two solo CDs, "Percursos" published by the "Numérica" label, "Contemporary Works for Accordion" included in the CalandaMusic catalogue and "Escape" (Stretto Duo) in chamber music, published by Artway Records.
